Our 10th Super Predictor won £50 on the Tenner game on Chelsea-Leeds at Stamford Bridge in early December.
Which correct answer from your winning game were you most happy with and why?
I'd say Timo Werner to have 4+ shots. He's been letting me down all year in my Fantasy team despite the faith I've shown him, so watching him miss sitter after sitter at least had its benefits on this occasion.
Where were you when you won?
I was at the pub sitting outside with some friends. We could see the game through the window and when I noticed that a couple of my predictions had come in I went to check the stats for the trickier questions. Massive shout-out to Raphinha for his 95th minute yellow card - next time he's in South West London I'll be sure to buy him a beer.
What will you spend your prize money on?
The money is conveniently exactly enough to buy Cyberpunk, so I've gone for that. I've just come home for Christmas so it seems like a great way to avoid speaking to my family.
How long have you been playing Tenner for?
A good few months now, I've actually been 1 away from winning 3 times now so it feels good to finally get the clean sweep!
How often do you play Tenner?
Pretty much whenever I remember. I often try to avoid guessing until the line-ups are out to get some easy wins, but that just leads to me forgetting altogether.
What’s your favourite sport to predict on Tenner and why?
Mainly football just because it's the sport I know the most about. That said, I do enjoy having a stab at guessing how many dragons will be slain in the 3rd round of the League of Legends European Qualifying Heats. Still can't believe the Damwon Destroyers let me down there.
What’s your top Tenner tip for anyone who hasn’t won a game yet?
I'd say try to think about what you expect the overall story of the game to be before you make any predictions. If you take it 1 by 1 then it can be easy to contradict yourself between questions.
What’s your favourite thing about Tenner?
The potential to add some excitement to otherwise dead rubber matches. I'm a big fan of the live game format so would love to see more of these! Also free money is never a bad thing.
Who's your sporting hero?
Eric Djemba-Djemba. Honestly not sure why he popped into my head first. I just remember watching the Sunday 7:30am showings of Match of the Day and thinking he had the best name ever. Realistically it's probably Marcus Rashford, he's only 3 months older than me and so I've essentially watched him play out my childhood fantasy whilst also being a really good bloke along the way.
